CFO

Totum are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading recruitment and outsourcing firm in its search for a new CFO. With revenue in excess of £80m and operating in the UK, US, Asia and Australia, an enviable client list and well engaged workforce, this is a fantastic for a commercially minded, qualified accountant with experience in the recruitment or outsourcing sectors to join an ambitious, exciting business during a phase of growth. This is a Main Board level role and reports into the CEO.

The business has a capable management team to run the day-to-day finance operations, so the CFO role requires someone who is able to work with the CEO and COO to both plan and implement the business’s strategy. In recent years the business attracted external investment which has allowed it to grow substantially, particularly overseas. The plan is to continue doing so and this will require a commercial CFO’s input to make sure that the ambitious scalability is supported with the right levels of financial support. The Board want to be bold about the future growth and need a CFO who will be an enabler to these ambitions, able to give advice, guidance and opinions about how to achieve the goals both quickly but with as much reduced risk as possible.

Applicants should be operating at a Director or C-Suite level, have been part of a Main Board and be able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities. Ideally candidates will have had previous experience of working in the recruitment industry and have been involved in the exit of an owner-managed or PE backed concern or have worked within an autonomous and acquisitive subsidiary within the sector. With the anticipated growth being focused overseas, previous international experience is a prerequisite, ideally in the US, Asia and Australia. This is a wonderful opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or international equivalent) to join a fantastic business in a senior executive position.
