About the position

The University of Stavanger has a vacancy for a senior engineer in computer technology at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Department of Computer and Electrical Technology, Laboratory. 

The person who is hired must contribute with good and relevant guidance for both students and staff. The tasks are particularly varied and include collaboration across departments in an international environment. We want a curious person who follows the subject area, who wants further development both for himself and our activity.

Main tasks

  • guide students in the lab and with exercises
  • develop teaching programs and software
  • support research fellows and other scientific staff in research work


You must have:

  • relevant education at minimum bachelor level before computer science or computer technology
  • programming experience (Go, Python, JavaScript)
  • good oral and written presentation skills in Norwegian and English

Experience in operating system, communication technology and system administration (scripting, bash) is desirable.

Furthermore, it is emphasized that you:
