The Norwegian Coastal Administration develops transport systems at sea that are safe, promote value creation and contribute to the transition to a low-emission society. The Norwegian Coastal Administration has a broad interface within transport and with other business and social actors. We collaborate internationally with both nations and organizations to standardize, streamline and secure shipping. The Norwegian Coastal Administration’s vision is to develop the coast and sea area into the world’s safest and cleanest.
The Norwegian Coastal Administration is organized with four business areas and under the business area transport, port and fairway, is the department for shipping, lighthouse and sea marking. The department operates 5 maintenance teams with 42 employees, and at the maintenance team in Central Norway we now have a vacancy with a certificate as a mechanic. We are looking for a versatile skilled worker who can be a good professional addition to the team.
The position reports professionally to the team leader, while the crew section has personnel responsibility for the position. The Norwegian Coastal Administration’s maintenance teams operate along the entire Norwegian coast with assignments related to the maintenance and operation of beacons and navigation objects. The maintenance team in Central Norway operates from Stadt in the south and to the border with Nordland county. It is a meeting place for the position in Ålesund.
The Maintenance Act has a working time scheme according to its own special agreement. An annual plan has been set up for working and free periods. One must expect to be away from home for the entire work period, to the usual 3 weeks.

There are requirements for:
Trade certificates such as mechanics, ship engine mechanics or the like.
Applicants must have a valid health certificate for seafarers
Must be able to work and climb safely in the hill
Be good boaters and be able to navigate in the dark
Driver’s license at B is required, and at. BE er indskjeleg
Master the use of IT tools and document your own work
It is desirable with:
Certificate D6 for boats under 15 meters
SRC / VHF certificate and safety course for smaller vessels
Truck driver’s license, scaffolding and lift.

The Norwegian Coastal Administration has a special agreement for the maintenance law which regulates working hours and subsistence allowance. Working time scheme with working periods and free periods.
Reimbursement of travel costs to / from the meeting place during work periods

Skilled workers are today placed in position code 1203, skilled workers, ltr. 46-51, annual salary NOK 431,900 NOK 468,300
Supplements under the Main Collective Bargaining Agreement amount to approximately NOK 14,000 per year. Subsistence allowance is paid per working day with NOK 480, –
