Coordinator (part-time) for the ICRAD network is applied for at the Center for Diagnostics, DTU Health Technology

Coordinator for ERA-NET Cofund ICRAD (International Coordination of Research on Infectious Animal Diseases). The ICRAD network consists of 31 partners, representing 20 countries.

The job
As coordinator, DTU is responsible for work package 1 “Management”. More specifically, DTU is responsible for the project’s finances, communication with the EU, and for the consortium to comply with the EU Commission’s rules and guidelines (including the Grant Agreement), as well as the partnership’s guidelines (Consortium Agreement).

Coordinator (DTU) is ICRAD’s connection to the EU Commission, and is responsible for all correspondence between the consortium and the EU Commission, including contract negotiations etc. In addition, the Coordinator is responsible for facilitating that the communication between work packages and between the individual partners is handled in an efficient and solution-oriented manner.

In addition, DTU generally contributes to the work in all work packages, where it is expected that the coordinator contributes with solid professional knowledge.

In close collaboration with ICRAD’s Project Manager, you will handle DTU’s role as coordinator for ERA-NET Cofund ICRAD, in accordance with ICRAD CONSORTIUM AGREEMENT, Grant Agreement N ° 862605, version 2, 15 July 2021.

Based on the tasks for coordinator (DTU) established in the Grant Agreement, you must be part of various groups within ICRAD, including Network Management Group (NMG) and Network Consortium (NC), where the coordinator has the decisive vote in the event of a tie.

It is also expected that you take an active part in the collaboration with various national, as well as international, relevant institutions / organizations, such as the Danish Research Agency, the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration, SEGES, SCAR AHW CWG, DISCONTOOLS, STAR-IDAZ, etc. regarding existing and future research activities / collaborations.

You must also provide, especially veterinary, advice, in relation to the various work package activities, including in connection with the preparation and handling of ICRAD calls, project evaluation guidelines, newsletters, etc. 

We expect you to:

  • has many years of broad experience (diagnostics, immunology, vaccinology, etc.) in the field of “infectious animal diseases”, and preferably knowledge that extends over a larger area in animal diseases.
  • has solid research experience regarding infectious diseases in animals documented by publications in international journals with per review.
  • has good experience of EU cooperation. Experience with the EU’s ERA-NET instrument, as well as the EU Framework Programs will be an advantage. In addition, you must have experience with national research programs, as well as a good knowledge of the national research funding institutions.
  • has good experience with project management, nationally and internationally, and is ready for change and solution-oriented.
  • can communicate fluently, both orally and in writing, in English.

Salary and terms of employment
Salary, pension, and other terms of employment will be in accordance with the AC agreement. The salary is determined based on the content of the job and your qualifications. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.

The position is limited in time for the period 1 December 2021 – 30 September 2024. The weekly working hours are 5.55 hours.

The work is performed from home. In addition, there is participation in various external meetings in DK and abroad.
